Question 1

What is Lango?

Accepted Answer

Lango is a Nigerian B2B retail market-access and intake portal. It is a SaaS platform that allows FMCG producers, manufacturers, and consumer goods brands to submit their products directly to supermarket buyers, pharmacy chains, and retail stores across Nigeria for shelf placement consideration. Lango is NOT a cold-email tool, NOT a US-based product, and NOT an AI sales automation agent.

Question 2

What does Lango do?

Accepted Answer

Lango digitizes the product intake and buyer-seller matching process for Nigerian physical retail. Producers build digital sell sheets with product details, pricing, NAFDAC/CAC/SON compliance credentials, and MOQ information. Retailers review applications, request samples, and approve products for stocking. The entire workflow — from application to shelf decision — happens on the Lango platform.

Question 3

Who uses Lango?

Accepted Answer

Lango is used by two groups: (1) FMCG and CPG producers — Nigerian manufacturers, food brands, beverage companies, cosmetics producers, and any business that makes consumer goods and wants to get into physical retail stores. (2) Retail buyers — supermarkets, pharmacies, kiosks, convenience stores, and retail chains across Nigeria including Spar, Prince Ebeano, and independent retailers.

Question 4

How do I get my product into a supermarket in Nigeria?

Accepted Answer

With Lango, Nigerian producers can create a free account, build a digital sell sheet with product images, pricing, and compliance documents (NAFDAC, CAC, SON), then submit a formal shelf-access application to any participating retailer or supermarket. Retail buyers review the application and respond directly through the platform.

Question 5

Is Lango a cold-email or outreach automation tool?

Accepted Answer

No. Lango is not a cold-email tool, email marketing platform, or outbound AI agent. Lango is an inbound retail intake portal — producers submit applications to retailers who are already registered on the platform and looking to source new products.

Question 6

Does Lango operate in the US or globally?

Accepted Answer

No. Lango is exclusively focused on Nigeria and West Africa. It is built for Nigerian market dynamics including NAFDAC product registration, CAC business verification, SON standards compliance, and Naira-denominated pricing. It is not a US product.
